About Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee
A Tamil-language coming-of-age film written and directed by Darbuka Siva, in his directorial debut, as well as producing the music for it, Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee (translate. You are the beginning and the end) is a 2022 Tamil-language coming-of-age film written and directed by Darbuka Siva in his directorial debut. Cast and crew are predominantly new to the film, which is produced by Sameer Bharat Ram. In addition to receiving positive reviews upon its release, it has been available on ZEE5 since 21 January 2022.
Soundtrack
A composition by Darbuka Siva was used in the film. A second collaboration of Jonita Gandhi with Siva follows the release of “Thirudathe Thirudathe” from Enai Noki Paayum Thota (2019). When she recorded, she told The Hindu, “I got the vibe the song needed to be a little retro and happy. It’s almost like candypop in India; it feels youthful. As the song comes to a close, he wanted many parts of the song to sound ‘freeing’.” In an interview with The Times of India, Gandhi said, “The song is nostalgic on so many levels.” He added that the song reminds us of the memories we shared during the pandemic. “We are living off memories during this time.” In conjunction with the promotional curtain raiser event featuring prominent stand-up comedians and YouTubers, the song was released on 21 January 2021 as a single. A soundtrack album was also released on 31 March 2021, containing six tracks, including all of the earlier singles, and a reprise of the title track by Shweta Subram.
